Established in 1838, UT’s College of Engineering has a long tradition of commitment to excellence in scientific research and the training of engineering professionals. The college consists of seven departments of study, four nationally renowned research centers, and more than 100 state-of-the art laboratories.
Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, the department offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and doctoral degrees.
The Department of Industrial and Information Engineering is committed to providing sound, modern industrial engineering education, to engaging in creative research, and to delivering outreach activities through its undergraduate and graduate programs. We continuously enhance our performance in the creation, integration, and dissemination of knowledge as it relates to the design, implementation, operation, analysis, and improvement of industrial processes and in service to the profession of industrial engineering.
